Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Alice Springs yesterday.
Around 6:45pm, police received reports that a 22-year-old woman had exited a vehicle being driven by a 19-year-old man at the intersection of Flynn Drive and Francis Street, Gillen.
The 19-year-old allegedly used his vehicle to strike the woman before physically assaulting her and fleeing the scene.
Police and St John Ambulance attended the scene and the woman was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man is known to the woman and investigations are underway to locate him.
Detectives are urging anyone with dash-cam in the vicinity of Gillen, Flynn and Araluen, between the hours of 6:30pm and 7:30pm, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10473914.
