Alice Springs Police Hunt Stolen Vehicle Info

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a stolen motor vehicle incident that occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 11.10pm, police received a report of an unlawful entry at an unoccupied unit at a complex in The Gap. A group of unknown male youth offenders allegedly stole a silver sedan and used it to ram through a gate when fleeing the scene, causing substantial damage.

The vehicle and its occupants were later sighted driving dangerously on Gregory Terrace. Police CCTV operators tracked the vehicle to East Side where police successfully deployed tyre deflation devices.

The offenders abandoned the vehicle in Sadadeen and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The vehicle was recovered and towed to the police compound for forensic examinations.
