NT Government

The Lawler Labor Government is providing our students with more opportunities than ever before to enter the workforce.

In the Alice Springs, students from Centralian Senior College are accelerating their career pathways into the automotive industry through the Territory Labor Government's partnership with Repco.

Now in its second year, the VROOM program is a collaboration between Centralian Senior College and Repco's Alice Springs outlet, providing students with hands-on learning experience.

The program provides Vocational Education Training focusing on car servicing and repair, and is facilitated on-site at Centralian Senior College's school workshop with industry leaders from Repco.

The course is so popular with senior students that the program has been extended to Year 10 students. There are currently 25 students enrolled and the VROOM program has so far secured two students with on-going employment at the Repco store in Alice Springs.

VROOM is just one of the 200 plus Vocational Education and Training courses offered by the Labor Government, with 2,126 students enrolled in a course throughout 2023, and 64% of those completing the course with qualifications.
