Allens has advised the financiers to the Exemplar Health consortium (comprising Capella Capital, Lendlease, Honeywell, Compass Group Healthcare and Invesis Coöperatie U.A) on the New Melton Hospital Project.
The New Melton Hospital will include a 24-hour emergency department, at least 274 beds, an intensive care unit, maternity and neonatal services, mental health services, radiology services and ambulatory care. The hospital will have the capacity to treat 130,000 patients each year. Construction is expected to be complete in 2029.

'The project builds on Allens' market-leading public-private partnerships experience, which includes key roles on other Victorian projects, including North East Link Primary Package, Melbourne Metro Rail PPP and Ravenhall Prison PPP on which Allens supported Capella-led consortia,' added co-lead partner David Donnelly.
Allens has had key roles on all major hospital developments in Victoria, including most recently the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment - Materials Handling Building Project this year and the Frankston Hospital Redevelopment in 2023 (currently being delivered by Exemplar Health).
