Armadale Detectives have charged a person in relation to an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 22 August 2023 in Maddington.
About 2.30pm, a 17-year-old male became involved in a verbal altercation with an 18-year-old man at a he shopping centre located on Attfield Street.
It will be alleged the 18-year-old male entered a supermarket and stole a knife before and confronted the victim again, with the knife and a hammer.
During the altercation the 17-year-old youth received a minor injury to his finger.
Police attended and took the 18-year-old man from Gosnells into custody. He has been charged with:
• Stealing;
• Being Armed in a way that may cause Fear; and
• Carried an Article with Intent to Injure (disable).
He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today, 23 August 2023.
