Amb. Hachigian Heads to Lima for City, State Diplomacy

Special Representative for City and State Diplomacy, Ambassador Nina Hachigian, will travel to Lima, Peru December 11 to 13. She will lead a delegation of U.S. mayors to meet with Peruvian counterparts at the U.S.-Peru Local Leaders Forum. This binational forum of local elected leaders will discuss topics including strengthening democracy and good governance, transparent service delivery, economic development and how to build trust and engage constituents.

While in Lima, Ambassador Hachigian will participate in discussions related to building resilience to climate change and access to equitable health and housing.

Her visit will underscore the critical role mayors play and the impact partnerships between local leaders are playing on the international stage.
