Ambassador Joseph Yun has been appointed Chargé d'Affaires, ad interim, at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. He previously served as U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Compact Negotiations, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy, and Ambassador to Malaysia. He previously served at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.
Ambassador Yun will work with the Embassy team and the Republic of Korea's government to advance our mutual interests and shared values, as well as our ironclad commitment to the U.S.-ROK Alliance.
