Ambulance Officer Assaulted - Maroubra

A man will face court charged after he allegedly assaulted a NSW Ambulance paramedic.

About 9pm yesterday (Monday 2 December 2024), emergency services were called to Anzac Parade, Maroubra following reports of a man unconscious in the street.

On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics found a 40-year-old man. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Prince of Wales Hospital.

While on route, the man has allegedly assaulted a female paramedic.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and arrested the man. He was taken to Maroubra police station where he was charged with assault frontline health worker - actual bodily harm.

He was refused bail and appeared before Waverley Local Court today, Tuesday 3 December 2024, where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 10 December 2024.
