ZURICH, Feb. 02, 2023 - Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a leader in global consumer packaging, together with Gualapack, a leader in pre-made spouted pouches, work with the world's leading brands to conceive, build and commercialize innovative packaging solutions that win in the market.
This year, at the 2022 Packaging Innovation Awards, by DOW, Gualapack Brasil and Amcor celebrate winning silver with the yogurt spouted pouch Danoninho Ice in the "Enhance User Experience" category.
Amcor and Gualapack Brasil developed this innovative yogurt flexible spouted pouch, with an easy-to-open bottom, allowing consumers to choose between two usage options. The product can be kept in the refrigerator and consumed at room temperature as a creamy yogurt or frozen to make it into a single serving of ice cream. The packaging can be opened by the spout, for consumption of the creamy product, or by a laser perforation in the bottom of the pouch, for consumption of frozen Danoninho.
"At Amcor, we are always looking at how to connect consumer trends to innovative solutions that can be developed in a collaboration with brand owners. Danoninho Ice is a good example of co-creation with them, an on-the-go product that expands the yogurt category for children." Commented Luiz Duarte, Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Amcor Flexibles Latin America.
"This innovative pouch allows DANONE to create a product that is fun and convenient for their young consumers and makes snack time easier for parents." Commented Alan Baumgarten, CEO of Gualapack Brasil.
