The National Rugby League (NRL) announced today that Ampol State of Origin One had officially sold out.
The last tickets for the match, which will be played at Accor Stadium tonight (Wednesday, June 8), were sold today.
The result will give Sydney its first capacity crowd at Origin since 2019, due to COVID restrictions.
"The support from our fans this Origin series has been fantastic. A sold-out stadium in Sydney for game one will be an amazing atmosphere and experience for players and fans," NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said.
Mr Abdo said limited tickets remained for State of Origin III at Suncorp Stadium on July 13, while tickets were also selling strongly for the return to Perth's Optus Stadium on Sunday, June 26 for State of Origin II.
With a crowd of 80,000 expected at Ampol State of Origin One, fans are strongly encouraged to leave additional time for travel and arrive early at the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.
The 2022 Ampol State of Origin One is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
