An artistic road to recovery for young locals

MPSLogo_News.jpg

A new art exhibition titled Road to Recovery is telling the stories of young people living through the pandemic.

19 locals aged 10 to 25 have created art to illustrate how their lives have been affected by COVID-19 through painting, sculpture, stories, drawing, poetry, photography and digital art.

To comply with current restriction levels and reach as many people as possible the exhibition has moved online.

We're inviting our community to vote for your favourite artwork. Voting is now open and closes 6 August.

Quote attributable to Mayor Councillor Despi O'Connor:

"The Road to Recovery art exhibition has given young people the opportunity to express their feelings about how COVID-19 has impacted their lives.

"Please show your support of our young talents by jumping online and share the link with your networks! These artists have put a lot of work into their contributions and it would mean a lot to them to know people have enjoyed the virtual exhibition!"
