An extra $35 million to safeguard Arts sector

The Government has announced it will provide an extra $20 million for charity Support Act, to enable it to continue its vital work in providing crisis and mental health support to those in the live performance sector.

The Government will also provide a further $15 million to the COVID-19 Arts Sustainability fund, to support significant Australian arts organisations to continue operating during this period of severe disruption.

The arts and entertainment sector is facing unique challenges during this period of severe disruption. This new funding will support arts organisations to continue to employ talented and creative workers, and importantly provide critical crisis relief and counselling to all live performance workers.
