Animal Medication Stolen In Maffra

Police are investigating after medication was stolen from a vehicle outside a veterinary clinic in Maffra last night.

An on-call vet was restocking the vehicle at a business on Johnson Street about 6.20pm.

The staff member has returned to the vehicles and saw an unknown male walking away holding something and then noticed the latches on the vehicles canopy were open.

She inspected the vehicle and noticed some of the medication had been stolen.

Police have concerns regarding this theft as some of the medication, meant for animals, could be potentially fatal if used by humans.

The man is described as tall and had a black face mask and grey hoodie on.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV/dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
