WorkCover Queensland has updated the Private Hospital Services Table of Costs, effective 1 December 2024.
Thank you to those who provided us with feedback as part of this year's review.
As part of the annual pricing review, we have:
- updated definitions of a 'private hospital' to address new private Accident and Emergency (A+E) facilities and interactions with Medical Table of Costs 'facility fees'
- clarified rules for private hospital and medical specialists charging for day patient/inpatient services related to ECT and rTMS treatment interventions
- updated our references to the National Procedure Banding List and Department of Health and Ageing Prostheses List descriptors and rules.
The updated descriptors and fees are now available on our Fees page (under Current hospital fees > Private Hospital Services Table of Costs – Effective from 1 December 2024).
