Another P-Plater Charged

Police have charged an 18-year-old male 'P-Plater' with reckless driving in relation to an incident that occurred on Wednesday 30 October 2024.

About 11:40pm, Police Air Wing sighted a blue Subaru Impreza driving recklessly along the Mitchell Freeway near Osborne Park.

The vehicle was tracked for a short distance before ground units assisted in stopping the vehicle near Reid Highway.

It will be alleged the vehicle was travelling at approximately 200km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.

The 18-year-old male from Wanneroo has been charged with one count of 'Reckless driving speed of 155km/hr or more'.

He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 12 December 2024.

The vehicle has been impounded.

This comes as a 17-year-old male from Kardinya was charged in relation to a reckless driving incident that occurred on Tonkin Highway near Perth Airport on Tuesday 29 October 2024.

It will be alleged the male was travelling 94km/hr over the speed limit.

He will appear in court at a later date.
