The Wimmera community will remember the sacrifices made by servicemen and servicewomen on Monday as part of Anzac Day services in the municipality.
In Horsham, observations begins at 6.15am with a dawn service at Sawyer Park.
Later in the morning, a march form Horsham RSL begins at 10am with the main memorial service to take place from 11am.
Guest speaker at both services will be John Francis, OAM, a former member of the Royal Australian Navy, Vietnam veteran, and a Horsham person now based in Canberra as a military historian.
Mr Francis will outline the direct contribution our community made to the defence of Australia in the anxious year of 1942 in World War 2.
When the service finishes the public will be invited to lay a handmade remembrance poppy or rosemary on the memorial crosses, in memory of 542 of our community that have paid the supreme sacrifice in all wars including 48 at Gallipoli.
At Natimuk, the Brass Band will perform before an 11am service at the Band Rotunda. The guest speaker is Keith Lockwood.
