Police are appealing for information following a reported child approach in Narrabri last week.
About 7.45am on Wednesday 10 April 2024, a 12-year-old boy was at a bus stop on Mooloobar Street, Narrabri, when a woman in a black utility stopped and offered him a lift.
When the boy refused the woman got out of her car and attempted to grab the boy before he fled the location on foot.
A report was received and officers attached to Oxley Police District commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a woman who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The woman is described as being of Caucasian in appearance, about 160cm tall, with grey/white short hair.
The vehicle is described as being a black utility and is heavily scratched with a pink sticker on the rear.
