Melbourne East police are appealing for witnesses following a series of criminal damage incidents in East Melbourne earlier this month and in July.
The tyres of approximately 30 cars were slashed in the vicinity of George, Simpson and Powlett streets about 5am on Friday 1 November.
It's believed the same man returned at 3.55pm and kicked a glass pane on the footpath, causing it to smash.
Police received a similar report earlier in the year, where more than 30 vehicles were damaged on George Street, with tyres slashed, on 12 July about 1am.
Several of those vehicles required towing.
Police have CCTV footage of a man, described as Caucasian, about 180 cm tall, a grey flannel shirt, camouflage pants and a large grey hoodie, walking west towards Simpson Street on 1 November.
A man of a similar description was captured on the 12 July incident.
Police have released CCTV footage and images of the man, who they would like to speak to in relation to the incidents.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
