Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted and robbed in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 11pm (Sunday 13 December 2020), a 19-year-old man was walking near Norfolk and Palmer streets, Ingleburn, when a vehicle stopped nearby.
Police were told four unknown males exited the vehicle and demanded the man hand over his property and then punched him in the face.
The man fell to the ground and the four males continued to kick him before stealing his backpack and headphones and then driving away.
The vehicle, described as a silver or white hatch, was last seen turning onto Cumberland Road towards Minto.
The man sustained cuts to his lip and forehead, swelling to the mouth, and an injury to his ear. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.
As inquiries continue, police have released descriptions of two of the four males they would believe can assist.
Both men are described as being of Pacific Islander/ Maori appearance, about 180cm tall with solid builds. One man was wearing a black jumper with grey trackpants and the second was wearing a black top and a white hat or beanie.
