Appeal After Offensive Conduct In Sydney CBD

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist with an investigation into offensive behaviour and malicious damage to food in Sydney's CBD.

Officers attached to the Central Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation following reports a man entered a business on George Street, Sydney, about 11.40pm on Monday 1 July 2024, and allegedly urinated on food products.

Police have been told the incident caused over $300 in damage to produce, and extensive work was undertaken over several hours to decontaminate the area.

As the investigation continues, police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20-30 years of age with a medium build, wearing a backwards navy blue cap, black jacket, black pants and dark blue shoes, carrying a black satchel bag.
