Appeal After Service Station Robbery At Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly robbed a service station in Wagga Wagga while armed with a hammer.

About 5.20am on Tuesday 23 April 2024, police were called a service station on Bourke Street, Wagga Wagga, following reports of a robbery.

On arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District were told a man had threatened staff with a claw hammer before leaving with cash and cigarettes.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being about 170cm tall with slim build, wearing a black hooded jumper with a white text on the front, a black face mask, black and yellow gloves, dark track pants, black shoes with white soles and laces.

He was last seen riding a mountain bike in on Bourke Street, Wagga Wagga.
