Appeal After Suspicious Fire - Central Coast

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a business on the Central Coast overnight.

About 1:35am today (Friday 9 August 2024), emergency services were called to Memorial Avenue, Ettalong Beach, following reports a property was on fire.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District attended and found a shop alight.

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze. No other properties were damaged in the incident.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, police would like to speak to two men who were seen entering the property, one carrying a jerry can, before running from the scene.

The fire follows a break an enter at the same property yesterday (Thursday 8 August 2024).

About 8.20am today, (Thursday 8 August 2024), police were called to Memorial Avenue, Ettalong Beach, following reports of an alleged break and enter.

On arrival, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District located a shop – which was under construction – with the front windows broken.
