Police are appealing for information following a suspicious house fire in the state's south overnight.
Just before1.30am Saturday 20 April 2024), officers attached to Murray River Police District were patrolling Captain Cook Drive, North Albury, when they saw smoke coming from the roof of a home, near the intersection of Ryan Road.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.
Initial inquiries indicated, entry had been forced to the home and the fire deliberately lit.
The house, which had been unoccupied at the time, was partially damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
A crime scene was established, which has been forensically examined.
Detectives have commenced in investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
