Appeal after teenage girls followed - Campsie

Police are appealing for information after reports two teenage girls were followed in Campsie yesterday.

Just before 4pm (Tuesday 17 August 2021), two 17-year-old girls walked west along John Street, Canterbury towards Tasker Park, when they noticed a man following them.

After continuing through the park, the girls crossed the Georges River foot bridge where they met up with a friend and monitored the man's movement as he attempted to conceal himself in nearby bushland.

The girls left the park and again noticed him following them at the intersection of Redman Parade and Park Street.

Police were notified and officers from Campsie Police Area Command attended and conducted extensive patrols; however, the man could not be located

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being Asian appearance, aged in his mid-30s, of slim build, with dark shoulder length hair.

He is shown wearing a black jacket, grey shirt with motif on front and maroon coloured long pants.
