Appeal for anonymous informant to come forward as investigation into missing Randwick man continues

Police are appealing for a person who contacted Crime Stoppers with information relating to a missing person from Sydney's eastern suburbs to contact investigators.

Robert Duncan, aged 78, who lived on Alison Road, Randwick, was last seen on Flinders Street, Surry Hills, at 9.41pm on Monday 12 April 2021.

He was reported missing to police on Monday 26 April 2021, and officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Robert is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of slim build, with white hair. He was last seen wearing a dark coloured leather jacket.

Following an earlier appeal, about 4.30pm on Wednesday 19 January 2022, an anonymous report was received by Crime Stoppers regarding Robert.

Eastern Beaches Police Area Command Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Rodney Pistola, is appealing for the person to come forward.

"We are urging the person who contacted Crime Stoppers about Mr Duncan to speak with our detectives as this person may hold that crucial piece of information we need in our investigation," Det Insp Pistola said.

"There has been no trace of Mr Duncan since April last year and we are desperate to bring some type of closure for his loved ones."

Investigators are appealing for the person who contacted Crime Stoppers to ring Eastern Beaches Detectives on (02) 9349 9299.
