Police have released images of a vehicle and four men who maybe able to assist police after a ramraid in Sydney's south west earlier this year.
Shortly before 4.20am on Friday 15 March 2024, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command responded to reports of two white vans containing four men being driven through the entrance of a shopping centre on Merrylands Road, Greystanes, attempting to remove an ATM.
The two vans containing the four men left the location shortly before the arrival of police.
No items of property were stolen; however, a considerable amount of damage was occasioned.
Inquiries have established that three of the men were seen to enter a silver coloured Hyundai i30 hatchback on Paton Street at 4.29am
Later that afternoon the vans were recovered from Daryl and Paton Streets, Merrylands West.
The vehicles have since undergone forensic examinations.
As investigations continue police would like to speak with the men.
The driver of one of the vans is described as being African appearance, 180cm and medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black face covering, black gloves, black pants and black/white sneakers.
The passenger is described as African appearance, 185cm and thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with white stripes on chest and sleeve, black face covering, black gloves, black pants and light blue sneakers.
Driver of the second van is described as Middle Eastern appearance, 175cm, medium build with a beard. He was wearing a blue base ball cap, black jumper with white triangle motif on chest, black gloves, black pants and white sneakers.
Passenger of the second van is described only as 175cm and thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black face covering, black gloves, black pants, black/white sneakers and carrying a set of bolt cutters.
Detectives are urging anyone with information about the incident or who is able to identify the men to contact Granville Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
