Appeal for missing man - Southern Highlands

Police are appealing for public assistance to find a man missing from the states Southern Highlands.

Michael Tolhurst, aged 29, of Moruya, last spoke to a family member while he was in Bulladellah on Wednesday 15 September 2021.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District were alerted to his disappearance on Saturday 18 September 2021 and commenced inquiries to locate him.

Michael's vehicle, a white Holden Cruz, was located abandoned along The Hume Highway, Mittagong on Friday 17 September 2021 (the day before he was reported missing).

Police have launched a major land search in the vicinity of where his car was located.

Concerns are held for Michael's welfare due to a medical condition.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, thin build with short dark hair.

Michael is known to use reading glasses. He was last seen wearing a maroon t-shirt with "Paradise" motif on the rear, faded lime green hooded jumper, dark blue jeans and tan leather boots.

He is known to frequent the Port Macquarie, Tathra and Manly areas.

As inquiries continue into Michael's whereabouts, police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
