Appeal For Vision: Assault, Ashmore

Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for vision after a woman was assaulted in Ashmore on Friday, September 20.

Initial investigations indicate just before 5am, the woman was crossing Currumburra Road, near Koonan Court, when a man, not known to her, has approached the woman from behind and inappropriately grabbed her.

The man fled the scene on foot heading south on Currumburra Road.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Currumburra Road, between Cotlew Street and Southport Nerang Road, between 4.30am and 5.30am on Friday, September 20, to contact police.

Police are also appealing to motorists with dashcam vision or nearby residents who have CCTV, particularly between 4am and 6am on Friday, September 20, to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
