Culture and activation in the City of Perth is being encouraged with applications for the latest round of arts sponsorship over $20,000 now open.
Investment in the arts is important in ensuring the cultural enrichment and economic diversity of our city and the importance of nurturing thriving artistic industries, activities and events.
The City of Perth supports projects that represent the broad range of quality arts activity and creative cultural practice that attract a broad audience, encourage increased visitation and deliver increased economic benefits.
This is in addition to contributing to the vibrancy and enhancing Perth's reputation as a premier capital city and arts industry leader.
Organisations that identify the arts as their primary purpose and can demonstrate their project aligns with the assessment criteria are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship benefits, along with the City's support, can include commercial, leverage promotion, activation or exposure.
In previous years, the city has provided sponsorships to art and cultural organisations such as West Australian Ballet Company, The Lester Prize, West Australian Music Industry Association, Black Swan State Theatre Company and The Blue Room Theatre.
Applicants seeking less than $20,000 will be encouraged to apply in a future Arts Grant round that will be open in a few months' time.
Applications close 27 April.
