Dept of Climate Change, Energy, Environment & Water

Round 7 of Australian Heritage Grants is now open!

Australian Heritage Grants aim to:

  • improve recognition, conservation, preservation and access to National Heritage listed places values.
  • increase community engagement and raise awareness of listed place.

Each year the Australian Heritage Grants commits $5.3 million to successful applicants. This provides funding for projects that do one or more of the following:

  • maintain, protect and conserve the National Heritage values of one or more listed places
  • improve access to listed places
  • improve engagement and awareness of the values of listed places.

Places recognised for their natural, Indigenous or historic heritage values are the perfect candidates for AHG. Last year's successful projects can be found at Australian Heritage Grants 2023-24 (Round 6).

To apply and view the guidelines, go to the Australian Heritage Grants 2024-25 Grant Opportunity before the round ends on 25 October.
