Georges River Council is calling on local organisations, community groups, businesses and residents to submit applications for the next round of Community Grants and Micro Grants.
These local groups will have the opportunity to apply for a share of $134,000 in funding, with applications open until Friday 14 March 2025.
Community Grants support organisations to deliver projects that meet identified needs in the Georges River community and encourage participation and inclusion.
Community Grants consists of two categories: Small Projects, providing grants of up to $10,000, and Major Projects, offering grants of up to $25,000 per successful applicant.
Micro Grants of up to $1,000 are available for residents, groups, organisations and businesses to fund projects that support community wellbeing, promote innovation, and drive social change.
Once the grants are awarded, successful applicants will be invited to an Orientation Workshop and Presentation Ceremony, where Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg will present them their grants.
Mayor Borg said, "We are excited to support the incredible work happening in our community.
"These grants give our local groups the support they need to bring their ideas to life and make a real impact in the Georges River area."
Council also offers support for grant applicants to improve the quality of their submissions via information sessions and workshops. Applicants are encouraged to attend to learn more about eligibility and the application process.
