The Support at Home Thin Markets grant is now open to ensure the availability of aged care services in rural and remote Australia, and for people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Eligible Home Care Package (HCP) and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) providers operating in rural, remote and/or specialised markets can apply for additional funding to support their financial viability while setting reasonable prices for Support at Home participants.
Applications can only be accepted from existing HCP or STRC providers who:
- have care recipients in Modified Monash areas 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, and/or
- currently hold a valid Specialisation Verification for aged care services (excluding Specialisation Verification for people who live in rural or remote areas) or have submitted an application for Specialisation Verification that is pending approval.
Providers can claim a funding loading for each care recipient whose services are delivered in MM3-7 and/or for each care recipient whose needs align with a diverse group for which the provider has, or has applied for, Specialisation Verification.
Apply online via GrantConnect before 2pm Canberra time, 23 April 2025.
