Ararat Library has welcomed community members back after major interior upgrade works were completed this month.
Refurbishment works, including the installation of all-new flooring and mobile shelving, began last month to create a more modern and flexible multi-use space.
The new mobile shelving in the adult fiction and non-fiction areas will allow the space to be easily adapted for a variety of the library's programs.
The project also delivered a new customer service desk, improved library signage, new soft furniture for reading and quiet study, and two new public computers to meet technological demands.
Funded by a $200,000 investment under Council's Capital Works Program, these upgrades reflect feedback received mid-last year and address the community's changing needs.
