Ararat Wind Farm Grants Program Extended to 2025

2025 Sustainable Community Grants Program Extended

The application deadline for the 2025 Sustainable Community Grants Program has been extended, inviting eligible not-for-profit entities and local community groups to apply.

The fund is proudly provided by the Ararat Wind Farm Pty Ltd and offers financial support to promote social and environmental sustainability initiatives for the benefit of the communities within Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians Shire and the Pyrenees Shire municipalities.

This fund is part of the Ararat Wind Farm's community investment program and provides funding of up to $7,500 or $15,000 (with a co-contribution) to support projects across five categories: Sustainable Environment; Education and Youth; Social, Health and Wellbeing; and Cultural Diversity and Creative Arts.

Each year, the grants program increases the total grant pool in line with Consumer Price Index (CPI) with the funding being shared across Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians Shire and Pyrenees Shire councils.

To be eligible to apply, groups or organisations must demonstrate that they are a not-for-profit entity or local community group, and that their project or program is relevant to the Fund's selection criteria. Applications for the Ararat Wind Farm Sustainable Grants Program are now open until Thursday 17 April 2025.

The Sustainable Community Grants Fund presents an invaluable opportunity for local groups and organisations to receive funding to run initiatives which all add to the sustainable development and well-being of our community.

"From the outset, Council has proudly supported the facilitation of this important initiative," says Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison.

"The Ararat Wind Farm Sustainable Community Grants Program is instrumental in driving community-led renewal energy projects that contribute to a sustainable future for our region."
