Christou Architects has been selected to design the new early childhood block at East Wanneroo Primary School which will provide exciting learning opportunities for kindergarten students.
The new building will include two kindergarten classrooms, a kitchen, student and staff toilets, storage and modified fencing to suit the new facilities.
These brand new early childhood facilities will provide the school's youngest students with the best possible opportunities as they start their education.
With the project now in the planning stage, construction is expected to start in February 2021 with completion expected in January 2022.
East Wanneroo Primary School currently provides education to 380 students from kindergarten to Year 6.
This investment is part of the McGowan Government's $5.5 billion WA Recovery Plan to modernise Western Australian public schools.
As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:
"I am excited to see how the new early childhood education centre will be designed, and I know this important project will benefit the Wanneroo community for years to come.
"This modern new facility will ensure our youngest students have the best possible start to their education at East Wanneroo Primary School."
