Armed Robbery Appeal, Centenary Place

Detectives from the Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch have released CCTV following an armed robbery at a service station in Centenary Place on Tuesday, August 13.

Around 8.45pm, a man attended the Sumners Road business and struck an attendant with a handgun before demanding he open the registers.

The attendant complied before the man left on foot heading east along Sumners Road.

The employee sustained minor injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 183cm, wearing a green beanie, black face covering, black hoodie, dark blue jumper, grey tracksuit pants and light blue surgical gloves.

Anyone who recognises the man or who may have dashcam footage in or around the service station around the time of the robbery is urged to come forward.
