Armed robbery charges in Kedron, QLD

A man has been charged following a number of incidents that occurred in Brisbane overnight, Queensland Police say.

Police were called just before 9pm following reports a man armed with a firearm had followed the occupants of a vehicle into the underground carpark of a Kedron unit complex.

It will be alleged the man demanded the driver hand over the vehicle on two occasions, however they refused and the man fled.

Around 9.50pm the same armed man is alleged to have threatened the occupants of a car at Lambert Street in Kangaroo Point before stealing the vehicle.

Polair tracked the vehicle to the driveway of a Moyston Street address at Carseldine where the man fled on foot to a nearby property in Yaldara Street.

As officers were responding to this incident, it will be further alleged that the man smashed through a window into the house before being taken into custody by police.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.

A 29-year-old Northgate man has been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises.

The man has also been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, enter dwelling with intent and stealing.

He is expected to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.
