Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following the death of a cyclist at Mandurang near Bendigo late last year, Victoria Police say.
The collision occurred on Sedgewick Road when the male cyclist was allegedly struck from behind by a Mazda sedan driven by a 20-year-old Kangaroo Flat woman at 10.15am.
The cyclist, a 23-year-old Strathfieldsaye man, was air-lifted to a Melbourne hospital but died several hours later.
The 20-year-old Kangaroo Flat woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, careless driving and using a hand held mobile phone while driving.
She has been bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court on 22 August.
