Arrest after pursuit in Sheidow Park, South Australia

Police have arrested a man following a pursuit in the southern suburbs early this morning.

Just before 3.30am on Wednesday 6 March, patrols spotted a stolen white Toyota sedan on Lander Road at Sheidow Park.

Southern patrols pursued the car through a number of side streets until they lost sight of it momentarily.

The car was located a short time later abandoned in scrub land near the intersection of Berrima Road and Patpa Drive.

Patrols and a dog patrol quickly converged on the area. PD Havoc tracked the wanted man and found him approximately 30 metres away under a tree where he was arrested.

A 52-year-old man from Hallett Cove has been charged with illegal use, engage in police pursuit, driving unlicensed, possess prohibited weapon and unlawful possession.

He has been refused bailed and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
