On Tuesday 28 August 2018, Police received information from the public that they believed the driver of a Toyota Corolla was intoxicated after observing the driver’s behaviour near the Kellerberrin town-site. Weather conditions at the time were extremely poor with heavy rain and wet roads.
Around 4.05pm, Kellerberrin Police stopped a Toyota Corolla on Great Eastern Highway near Bungulla North Road in Tammin. Officers conducted a roadside breath test and the female driver provided a positive preliminary test, WA Police say.
The woman was conveyed to the Kellerberrin Police Station for an evidentiary test, and it is alleged her reading was 0.069 calculated to 0.062g/210L.
The 35-year-old woman from Tammin was charged for Excess 0.5% and received an infringement of $400 and four demerit points. It was the woman’s first offence.
