Two people have been charged following a number of break ins in the metro area, including a house break in Myrtle Bank last week.
About 5am Saturday 16 March a home on Northcote Street, Kilburn, was broken in to and a white Hyundai Accent stolen.
Sometime between Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March two cars that had been parked on Quality Court, Wynn Vale, were broken into and a wallets and hands bags were stolen. The stolen Hyundai was seen leaving the area.
About 4am Monday 1 April a home on Vulcan Avenue, Modbury Heights was broken into and blue RAV4 was stolen.
On Tuesday 2 April the Hyundai Accent was located abandoned on Stokes Court, Elizabeth East.
About 3pm Thursday 4 April three suspects attended a Myrtle Bank in the stolen RAV4. One suspect broke into the home and stole property from before stealing a white Toyota Yaris sedan (SA registration S334BLH) and driving away.
About 12.55pm Monday 8 April a man allegedly broke into a home on Clifton Street, Maylands, stealing a silver MG hatchback, SA registration S493CGK.
Later that day, about 2.10pm, a suspect in the stolen MG allegedly broke into the shed of a property on Stephen Terrace, St Peters, stealing property including power tools and a bicycle.
About 6.40pm Tuesday 9 April police located the MG in the rear yard of a home on Clifton Street, Maylands, behind a closed gate. Police set up cordons around the home including blocking the gate with a police car. Upon becoming aware of police the suspect ran to the MG and drove it through the gate ramming the police car. The suspect jumped out of the MG and ran, but was quickly chased down and arrested by Eastern District patrols. There were no injuries to police.
The 42-year-old man of no-fixed-place has been charged with a number of serious offences including endanger life (ramming police car), hinder police, multiple aggravated serious criminal trespass, serious criminal trespass, thefts, and illegal use of motor vehicles. He attended court on Wednesday 10 April and was remanded in custody. CO2400013175
A 22-year-old Maylands woman was also located at the Clifton Street address and arrested. She has been charged with a number of offences, including using a credit card stolen from the Myrtle Bank break in. She was bailed to appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 9 July.
