Arrests Made for Burglary, Stolen Vehicle in Woolner

Northern Territory Police have arrested four male youths in relation to a burglary that occurred in Woolner on Saturday morning.

At around 3:15am, police received reports of an unlawful entry on Chong-Wee Avenue, where a bag containing a wallet and a set of keys, along with a Hyundai Venue parked in the driveway, were stolen.

The occupants were home at the time of the burglary.

A short time later, police observed the Hyundai on Tiger Brennan Drive and initiated a pursuit after the vehicle failed to stop for a traffic apprehension. The pursuit continued through Stuart Park and Parap before the vehicle was abandoned in Grant Street with the offenders fleeing on foot in multiple directions.

Strike Force Trident, Dog Operations Unit, and General Duties members conducted a search of the area, apprehending four males, two aged 14 and two aged 15.

All four were charged with multiple offences and will appear in Court at a later date.

Police continue to urge anyone who witnesses a crime or anti-social behaviour to make contact on 131 444.
