The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested six people in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Alice Springs early this morning.
Around 3.45am, police CCTV operators identified a group of people walking away from a licensed premises in Todd Street in the possession of a quantity of alcohol.
General duties officers responded immediately and conducted patrols of the area. Police observed that the rear door of the premises had been forced open. Fridges located inside had their doors open and alcohol was missing.
CCTV operators tracked the offenders with police subsequently locating and arresting three adults and three youths in relation to this incident.
Two female youths, aged 11 and 13, will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act (2005).
A 16-year-old male youth is expected to be charged with Burglary and Theft.
The three adults, one female aged 19 and two males aged 19 and 42, are expected to be charged with Burglary, Theft, and Property damage. The 42-year-old will also be charged for drug possession.
