- Regional Performing Arts 2024-25 program supports 12 projects
- More than $1.4 million to help producers and artists create and deliver performance-based works in regional WA
- Funding helps to deliver performing arts experiences to regional audiences
Western Australia's regions are set to host a variety of exciting and unique performing arts experiences including performances of puppetry, dance, theatre, singing and more, through Cook Government culture and the arts funding.
Twelve projects will share in $1,454,586 in grants from the 2024-25 round of the Regional Performing Arts program, an initiative delivered as part of the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program.
The Regional Performing Arts program supports organisations through two categories, Made in WA and Playing WA, with regional costs associated with the development and presentation of new performance works, and the delivery of performing arts tours.
With tours and activities running throughout 2025 and 2026, the funded projects will visit a total of 25 towns and cities across all regions of WA.
The recipients of the 2024-25 Regional Performing Arts program are:
- Big hART - $143,851 for Tjaabi - Flood Country, touring from July to November 2025;
- Breaksea Incorporated - $150,000 for Albany 2026: 'A Future Where Anything is Possible';
- CircuitWest Inc - $100,869 for Dreams of a Lonely Planet by Flying Bicycle Collective, touring from October to September 2025;
- CircuitWest Inc - $89,345 for KIN by Isha Sharvani and collaborators, touring from May to June 2026;
- CircuitWest Inc - $115,011 for FIFO by Mark McDonald and collaborators, touring from August to September 2026;
- CircuitWest Inc - $134,489 for Drip Drop Play by Ad Lib Collective, touring from January to October 2026;
- Dawn Elena Pascoe - $114,344 for She is Strong, touring from April to September 2026;
- Whiskey and Boots - $102,187 for The Quadrangle Tour - 2025, touring from March to April 2025;
- ZAP Circus - $96,047 for A Circus Sensation, touring from April to October 2025;
- West Australian Opera - $150,000 for Wundig Wer Wilura In Concert, touring in November 2025;
- Theatre 180 Inc - $149,625 for 21 Hearts: Vivian Bullwinkel and the Nurses of the Vyner Brooke, touring from May to July 2025; and
- Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Corporation - $108,818 for Yirra Yaakin Theatre's 'Thirst', touring from May to June 2025.
