Police have charged a 17-year-old boy following investigations into a robbery with violence at an Ashmore residence on Monday, February 24, during which a Porsche and Land Rover were allegedly stolen.
It will be alleged around 11.30pm, five people wearing balaclavas arrived at Kootingal Street in a vehicle and gained entry to a property. Three of those people then entered the house.
The 53-year-old female resident awoke when she heard the front-door open and went to investigate, observing a male seated in her 2021 blue Porsche Macan.
The woman opened the driver's side door, and the male allegedly assaulted her.
The woman attempted to reopen the door at which point the male allegedly reversed the Porsche, dragging the woman a short distance along the front grass median strip as it fled the scene.
The woman sustained grazes and bruising and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A second vehicle, a 2018 black Land Rover Discovery, was also allegedly stolen from the residence during the robbery.
Around 11.50pm, officers located a 2016 silver Hyundai Santa Fe abandoned nearby on Ashmore Road, which had been allegedly stolen from Kerala Court at Mudgeeraba. Investigations indicate that this is the vehicle the males allegedly arrived in at Kootingal Street.
