Global law firm Ashurst is advising PNGX-listed BSP Financial Group Limited (formerly Bank of South Pacific Limited) (BSP), the largest financial services company in the South Pacific, in connection with its admission to the official list of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) by way of compliance listing.
Ashurst advised BSP in connection with all aspects of its ASX listing including securities regulation advice, fundraising advice and corporate governance arrangements.
BSP commenced trading on the ASX on Tuesday, 25 May 2021 under the ticker code "BFL" and has a market capitalisation of over A$2 billion on the PNGX. BSP's ASX-listing will provide a new source of equity capital to accelerate growth of its business, along with a new market and improved liquidity.
Partners Murray Wheater and Richard Flynn commented:
"We are proud to have advised longstanding client BSP on its listing on ASX, which will give it access to Australia's deep capital markets and growth opportunities."
The Ashurst team was led by partners Murray Wheater and Richard Flynn, who were assisted by senior associates Dillon Fuzi, Kingsford Wamp, lawyers Will Robertson, Oscar Berry, Ray Cheng, and trainee Leon Warren.
