Ashurst Boosts German Team With Three Partner Hires

Global law firm Ashurst has appointed Dr Sebastian Daub, Florian Hirschmann, and Sascha Arnold as partners in Germany. Dr Sebastian Daub and Sascha Arnold will join the Frankfurt office, enhancing Ashurst's offering in the infrastructure and regulatory spaces, while Florian Hirschmann joins as Head of Private Equity Germany in the Munich office.

Prof Dr Florian Drinhausen, head of Ashurst's German corporate practice, added: "In the past 12 months, we have hired five outstanding corporate partners in Germany, taking the German practice a significant step forward. Florian will further strengthen our Munich office and our PE practice, while Sebastian and Sascha will advance our work in the infrastructure sector."

With Dr Sebastian Daub, Ashurst gains a highly-regarded practitioner in private equity and M&A, particularly in infrastructure M&A, having advised on numerous high-profile transactions in the sector. Sascha Arnold advises clients primarily in regulated industries, with a focus on energy law, and Sascha will lead Ashurst's public law/regulatory practice within the infrastructure group in Germany.

Florian, who will lead the Private Equity practice in Germany, specialises in advising domestic and international private equity and strategic investors in complex national and cross-border transactions, including leveraged buyouts, growth equity, debt investments, M&A, and joint ventures. He is particularly known for his expertise in advising on transactions with Chinese and Greater East Asia connections and has extensive experience representing clients in Asia-related matters.
