Ashurst has advised BNP Paribas on the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding with La Banque Postale and La Banque Postale Consumer Finance, the consumer credit subsidiary of La Banque Postale. The agreed memorandum of understanding provides for exclusive negotiations between BNP Paribas (via BNP Paribas Mobility, its centre of expertise dedicated to sustainable mobility) and La Banque Postale group to establishing a partnership for the distribution of a comprehensive mobility offering to the retail customers of La Banque Postale group.
Consistent with La Banque Postale's civic commitment to a low-carbon economy, the partnership would foresee the creation of a digital platform accessible to La Banque Postale customers offering new and used low-emission vehicles, financing and leasing packages and associated insurance products.
The Ashurst team was led by Anne Reffay, partner, on M&A/corporate aspects, and Nicolas Quoy, partner, on IP/IT/Data aspects.
Partner Anne Reffay stated: "We are delighted to act for our client BNP Paribas on this possible innovative partnership, leveraging the know-how and expertise of BNP Paribas Mobility. The transaction plays to Ashurst's particular strengths in Digital Economy and M&A/Corporate."
La Banque Postale group was advised by law firm BDGS (Jean-Emmanuel Skovron, David Andreani, and Romane Budillon).
