The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Corporate Plan 2024-25 underscores our commitment to elevating the integrity, quality and relevance of national qualifications across the vocational education and training sector.
To deliver on our purpose to ensure quality vocational education and training (VET) so that students, industry, governments and the community have confidence in the integrity of national qualifications issued by training providers, our priorities include:
- collaborate with stakeholders to prepare for the implementation of revised Standards for RTOs, including development of differentiated regulatory strategies and guidance to enhance sector capacity for continuous quality improvement
- respond to government policy objectives for VET, including supporting a more integrated approach between the higher education, VET and migration systems
- implement amendments to the NVETR Act that give us greater powers to protect vulnerable students, act against non-genuine providers and ensure suitability at market entry
- uplifting our investigation, enforcement and intelligence capability, including multi-agency compliance operations, through our Integrity Unit
- provide our workforce with the right tools, including by progressively implementing digital enhancements to improve our regulatory capacity, service delivery and effectiveness.
The Plan also outlines the strategies we will employ to achieve our purpose for the 2024-2028 forward years and how we will measure our performance.
