Assault And Burglary Appeal At Murgon

Police are appealing for information after a break and enter and serious assault of an elderly man and woman in Murgon yesterday, January 15.

At approximately 10.20pm, three people have attended a Wallace Street property and attempted to gain entry into two vehicles parked within a carport.

The three people have then gained entry into the residence before making verbal threats to two elderly residents and then assaulting them.

The victims, an 80-year-old man and 76-year-old woman were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The three people fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV vision to come forward.
